In addition, HP faces foreign exchange risk from significant monetary assets denominated in foreign currencies. The Director Foreign Exchange establishes HP's policies for managing risk related to exchange rates, and leads a team that implements this policy. The role oversees more than $100 billion per year in foreign exchange transactions. A key challenge is to ensure that foreign exchange exposures are measured and forecasted accurately. The group is also responsible for consulting with HP business leaders around the world on mitigating foreign exchange risk. MBA Required Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation highly desirable Undergraduate degree from a top school with a technical, economic or business major At least five year's experience managing foreign exchange risk in a corporate environment. Additional foreign exchange experience in a banking environment is a plus Thorough understanding of derivatives accounting rules (FAS 52 and 133) required In-depth understanding of macroeconomics, and the factors that influence exchange rates Must have prior management experience. Prior experience managing a geographically-diverse team is a plus.
