Direct Marketing Specialist

Description:The Direct Marketing Specialist will be part of team responsible for executing direct mail and insert programs with over 100 million pieces of mail for America's largest internet bank. They will coordinate all program aspects, starting with prospect list generation, creative development, overseeing print/production through the measuring of response/conversion. The main activities center on coordinating Prospect selection, Database Marketing, Production, Customer Experience, Advertising and Business Line teams. * Manage the tactical execution of the direct mail and insert campaigns including external vendors (credit bureaus and list processing)* Extensive experience working with Database Marketing to develop models, prospect segmentation, program metrics and campaign reporting.* Manage internal and third party list processing vendors and list brokers.* Coordinate direct marketing testing (list segmentation, offer and creative) in conjunction with overall test strategy and business plans. * Identify and develop new opportunities to expand customer acquisition programs.* Conduct analysis to determine performance of creative, lists, models and segments and deliver reports and action steps for ongoing improvements* Develop/manage individual mailing and insert plans that meet business objectives.* Create list processing instructions defining test cells, tracking codes, suppression routines and reporting requirements* Manage Direct Marketing Agency to develop copy and creative based on business needs, brand standards and previous results.* Work with Business Lines to develop an annual plan of direct marketing programs. * Manage program budgets by conducting bids with agencies/ vendors to maintain or reduce pricing* Manage Printers and Lettershops in producing and delivering direct marketing materials.* Audit data files and QA print samples ensuring adherence to legal guidelines and program specs.* Establish and maintain appropriate creative libraries and learning/case study libraries on the performance of each creative.* Consistently monitor competitor activity and changes in the market to inform marketing plansQualifications:* 3 years direct marketing experience.* Experience in executing mail programs.* Bachelor degree in marketing or related field.* Understanding of marketing, branding, creative development and media.* Managing a number of marketing projects at any given time, must be organized* A self-starter with excellent communications skills* Strong ability to motivate the consumer.* Resourceful, innovative creative thinker.* Must be willing to be hands-on and ready to roll up sleeves and "get it done."* Personality to work effectively with internal and external partners.* Good creative judgment.* Ability to thrive in an unstructured, every-changing environment.* Proficient in Microsoft Windows Business Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceING DIRECT offers one of the best benefits plans around, providing medical and dental health coverage; flexible spending accounts; 401K retirement plans and fitness programs.Job Location: Wilmington, DEJob Number: 6236Company Profile:Why join the ING DIRECT team?
