Database Administrator SQL Server

Job Description: Summary of Major Duties and Accountabilities:
The Database Administrator shall provide database administration and support for Bank application projects using Microsoft SQL Server. Duties include: implementing and maintaining database structures, monitor and tune database environments, ensure integrity and recoverability of database structures and apply service packs and fixpaks as necessary. The DBA shall provide guidance and assistance in the development, maintenance, administration, and enforcement of database management standards and guidelines.
 Position Requirements:Previous DBA experience required in Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
Strong technical skills in database environments running on Windows
Expertise with database backup and recovery issues
Expertise in database configuration and tuning
Experience designing and implementing Microsoft SQL Server 2000 DTS packages and 2005 SSIS
Experience troubleshooting database errors in a multi-tier application environment
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and strong analysis skills are essential
Must be a US Citizen or eligible to apply for Citizenship
 Desirable skills:
Expertise with Analysis Services and OLAP
Experience with MQ Series and/or DB2 Connect
Experience with Clustered database environments
Experience with SQL2005 Common Language Runtime
