Development team member that works collaboratively with the development and business team to design, develop, test, and implement data warehouse solutions as well as works collaboratively with the development and application team to provide database administration support. Remains flexible to changing strategies and projects mid-stream, if necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Uses basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 to provide administrative support.

Uses basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 programming languages and technologies such as Visual Studio .NET 2005 / 2008, SSIS, and TSQL scripting to develop custom data warehouses.

Assist with design and build of data warehouses using a combination of SSIS, TSQL and other languages to improve our ability to service our customers.

Actively participates in corporate projects and initiatives.

Follows defined development processes.

Places a focus on privacy and security of customer data throughout the development of applications and administration of systems and databases.

Works with business to define requirements and develop and implement technology solutions that meet these requirements. Provides clients with useful technology solutions. This may include user education that would enable the business to make a better decision.

Provides timely and effective first-level support for SQL databases for internally and externally developed applications and internally developed data warehouses.

Documents technical design of database environments, databases, and data warehouses.

Actively promote appropriate technology applications with the business.

Provide technology education when appropriate to the business.

Participate in educational opportunities to keep current with industry trends and advancements. Makes recommendations to pursue appropriate new technologies.Required Skills



B.S. degree or equivalent with minimum 2-4 years progressively responsible experience.

Proven database administration or data warehouse development experience.

Relational database development experience.

Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage many details and translate them into proactive suggestions.

Experience developing technical documentation.

Ability to independently manage multiple tasks / projects, meet deadlines, and maintain quality.

Excellent written communication skills.

Effective listening and problem solving skills
