Customer Security Associate Part Time

Description:Job Summary:The Customer Security Associate is responsible for reviewing potential and existing customer data to ensure the authenticity of information provided. This includes, but is not limited to, daily report reviews as well as answering inbound telephone calls from our internal and external customers. This person is also responsible for identifying fraudulent activity and mitigates losses to ING DIRECT based upon existing communicated protocol.Customer Security Associates spend the majority of their time on the phone with customers. You must be customer oriented, with great attention to detail and able to think on your feet. Part Time Hours are 20 hours a week, with 8 hours required each Saturday. Hours will include evenings. Essential Functions:- Identify risk and prevent loss from Fraud, Arrears and NSF activity.- Make sound subjective decisions to close risky relationships, place and remove restrictions. - Investigate and resolve accounts in arrears.- Investigate risk identified through the Banks Know Your Client new account screening.- Investigate check and ACH NSF returns and rejects.- Review referrals from all business units.- Run and review pro-active risk reports.- Research legal and regulatory issues as requested.- Maintain various project databases- Undertake other projects as assigned by Team Management.Qualifications:Experience & Qualifications:- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of related work experience in Customer Service and/or Fraud.- Collections and/or Credit Analyst experience preferred.Education and/or Certifications:- Completion of a post-secondary degree or equivalent relevant business experience.Technical skills and abilities:- Experience making quick, high quality decisions on complex issues.- Focus, problem solving skills, and ingenuity are required.- Excellent oral and written communication skills.- Ability to handle a variety of projects simultaneously.- Ability to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner.- Ability to effectively communicate with customers to resolve any issues of risk or arrears.Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceING DIRECT offers one of the best benefits plans around, providing medical and dental health coverage; flexible spending accounts; 401K retirement plans and fitness programs.Job Location: St. Cloud, MNJob Number: 6250Company URL: http://www.ingdirect.comCompany Profile:Why join the ING DIRECT team?
