Customer Sales Representative I

Sells and cross-sells a limited range of Company products and services to new and existing customers, including originating loan applications and sales of other financial products, opening new accounts and processing changes to existing accounts. Resolves customer issues escalating only the more difficult issues to management for problem resolution. Generates and pursues sales leads by telephone, letter and personal contact. Implements specific sales initiatives and campaigns into overall sales strategy. Identifies opportunities for cross sales and educates customers on the various product line offerings. Assists with the preparation and development of branch sales plan, including direct sales and referral activities. Strategizes with other team members about market position opportunities, market competition and other Company initiatives. Participates in the development of ongoing branch sales promotional strategies and activities. Implements specific sales initiatives and campaigns into overall sales strategy. Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet; policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.Requirements: May be required to move bags of coin short distances. Required to stand and walk for extended time period. Required to keyboard for extended time periods. Occasional bending and stooping required. High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Minimum 1 year to 18 months experience in sales, customer service or retail. Sales skills with the ability to influence clients. Strong customer service skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Teller experience helpful. Effective problem solving skills.
