For more information, visit State Street's web site at www.statestreet.com Corporate Actions Manager Job Description This position manages the Corporate Action process and oversees the administration of middle office services to new and existing clients. He / she will have managerial oversight of one or more of the various teams within the Corporate Action department. Works closely with clients, agents, companies, the Depository Trust Company, various sub-custodians and internal business units to meet the clients' needs and mitigate risks through proactive measures. Recruit, develop, and motivate team, to ensure compliance with department standards and client service expectations. Analyze business process flows, initiate and lead projects aimed at process improvements throughout the operation. Manage the resolution of reconcilement issues as they relate to the unit's responsibilities. Job Duties ? Oversee the day to day responsibilities of the team(s) by developing a strong risk management and controlled environment. Eliminate risk incidents and charge-offs.? Elevate all potential risk incidents/performance issues to Assistant Vice President / Vice President? Confirm the completion of the review and verification of the staff's work on a daily basis, enforcing stringent procedures and controls. Assist in the review and verification process as needed. ? Approve documented workflow and procedures and ensure updated to internal web site? Manage your teams' participation in the bank wide exception process by processing accurately and within established time frames.? Manages the performance evaluation process, including recognizing and publicizing excellence in the workplace. Documenting all accomplishments and performance related issues. Recommend compensation changes within the salary administration process. ? Play active role in staff development. Manage the continued focus on periodic staff communication in both a group and one on one setting? Develop and administer internal & external training modules as needed to better educate the working relationships and contacts that we have ? Manage a staff of 3 - 4 Analysts? Support company wide exception process by reducing risk. Enforce all established procedures and policies. ? Responsible for the administering of performance evaluations and recommending compensation adjustments. ? Take active role in the hiring of new employees, retaining existing employees and staff development. Ensure adequate access is set up for new employees. Job Requirements ? Bachelors Degree or equivalent financial industry experience? 2+ years managerial experience.? Project management experience? Requires strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.? Strong oral and written communication skills ? Excellent client service skills? Experience with global equity, fixed income, and institutional trust? Knowledge of both Domestic and Global markets?
