Contested Default Coordinator

Primary Characteristics: * Responsible for reviewing and handling responses for Code Violations, Property Condemnation Sale Notices, Tax Sale notices, Defaulted Condominium / Cooperative Fees Owed, Outstanding HOA fees. * Responsible for monitoring damaged property notifications and working closely with our Property Vendor in filing claims, obtaining bid repairs and monitoring Loss Draft claims for loans in Default. * Monitor hazard insurance claims and the work completion with contractor for loans in foreclosure and bankruptcy. * Responsible for writing chronologies and creating concise spreadsheets explaining payment histories on loans that require submitting Repurchase and / or Charge-Off requests to Investors and or previous servicers. * Review title issues and have the knowledge to review the title policies and other loan documents to determine what is necessary to clear title and whether a need file a title claim. Essential Functions: * Assist manager/lawyers with special projects. * Assist management in regulatory applications, notices and requirements. * Coordinate insurance related matters. * Help manage system and operational interfaces between legal and business units. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Requirements): * Independent problem solving. * Proficient research skills. * High level of written and oral communication skills. * Proficiency on Word, Excel, and Internet. * High level detail required. * Must have a high level of organization and multi-tasking skills. * Ability to interact with managers and senior management, and outside legal counsel. Training and Experience: * Undergraduate degree preferred. * 1-3 years of project management experience preferred. * Established research skills.
