Community Bank Seeks VP, IT Manager

A progressive community bank in greater Boston is looking for a new VP, IT Manager to join their team.

 

This bank has been a fixture in the community for over 100 years, and they continue to provide the traditional values and personalized service that keeps their customers coming back.  But they are also a bank on the move!  Over the past five years they have quadrupled their number of employees and more than doubled their assets.  Two years ago they upgraded their entire technology system, last year they opened another de novo branch, and this year they acquired another bank in the area.

 

This position, reporting to the SVP Operations and Technology, will be responsible for:

 Managing the IT staff, including coordinating training and coaching with regard to their job function, and new technologies.Managing relationships with outside technology vendors, which support the bank’s systems of routers, network, voice and data phones, PC’s, and many other technology related vendors.Serving as the primary IT resource for all bank project management.  Upcoming projects include a new branch, and a branch upgrade, in the coming months.Participate in the Operations Committee, Compliance Committee, etc.Coordinate the bank’s vulnerability and business continuity testing.Act as the bank’s primary liaison with internal and external auditors, and state and federal regulators, in all matters re. IT Management.

 

Position Requirements:

 

· BA/BS

· 5-7 years experience managing an Information Technology department

· Hands on technical aptitude, ideally in a Novell environment

· Knowledge of banking rules and regulations, specifically Graham Leach Bliley and FFIEC regulations

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

· Ability to effectively coach, motivate, and lead the IT staff

· Exceptional project management skills.
