Commercial Banking Business Process Design Analyst

Analyzes Corporate and Commercial lending procedures and processes to improve business workflow or automation. Assists in the initiation of projects such as COIN and CLCS and future application as defined, including project charter development, scope and requirements definition, planning, scheduling, effort/cost tracking and risk analysis. Support the execution of Corporate and Commercial bank projects, including but not limited to real estate (residential and commercial), syndications, participating and energy lending, through all phases - requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deploy - delivering the highest quality systems that meet business needs. Assists in translating business needs into requirements, support the resolution of requirements issues across internal business units. Responsible for the accuracy and timely processing of issues and risks, monitoring and following up on their status, and ensuring that it gets resolved. Excellent capacity to communicate and collaborate with others, including end-users, mid-level managers, senior level-managers, IT and Vendors. Bachelor’s degree in related field or 3-5 years of large consulting firm experience (Accenture, EDS, Ernst & Young Consulting, etc) Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in/with various lines of business within a Corporate or Commercial lending environment - production, operations  Minimum 3-5 years of business process design/analysis experience; Must have experience analyzing complex information and be able draw logical conclusions about business implications and identify action Minimum 2-3 years experience with Participations and Syndications on the "Operational side" of the banking environment Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio Six Sigma background a strong plus Aptitude to learn new computer systems Must like to read A lot; need to be a creative person, not looking for a black & white type of position; someone who really likes a challenge Self starter with strong, proactive work ethic; Ability to work independently or in a team environment with a positive attitude to successfully see tasks through to completion Strong conceptual, analytical and problem-solving ability Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills Must be well organized and able to prioritize, organize and coordinate simultaneous tasks/projects Travel involved: 0-10%  Compass Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer Please visit Compassbank.com for information on the many opportunities and employee benefits at Compass Bank!
