Client Support Specialist
SunTrust is currently seeking a Client Support Specialist for our Wealth and Investment Management Group in Columbus, Georgia. The core functions of this role would provide client support to a team of 2-3 Wealth Strategists, Trust Advisors, Client Advisors and/or Team Leads managing a portfolio of approximately 140-210 clients with individual average assets exceeding $1MM. Primary support activities include completing internal and external forms, account maintenance and statement analysis - legal, tax and financial. Document handling and preparation of general correspondence to customers (internal memos, financial data and asset record spreadsheets using trust application data), client presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint or PCP/Private Client Presentation software, and internal committee reports. May interface with Client, typically via telephone with moderate written communication. Support Wealth Strategists, Team Leads, Trust Advisors and/or Client Advisors' sales and client retention goals, look for cross sell opportunities and make referrals (as needed). General Relationship updates - recognize relationships as risk and notify the Wealth Strategist, Trust Advisor and/or Client Advisor. General product and procedural knowledge - stay abreast of product and procedural changes and the addition of new products and services. Minimum Requirements: - 4-6 years previous banking or other financial institution experience and/or 2-3 years client support experience. - Demonstrates strong investment, trust and wealth management knowledge with solid credit and deposit knowledge to successfully support a team of Wealth Strategists, Team Leads, Trust Advisors and/or Client Advisors (portfolio of Wealthy or High Net Worth clients) with all product discussions and offerings. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on numerous tasks simultaneously. - Solid Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills. - Well organized and flexible; able to adapt to change as well as determine and focus on top priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. - Solid knowledge of banking and trust systems and the ability to pick up enhanced system knowledge easily. - Ability to handle loan documents based on applicable loan volume. - Must be deadline driven to ensure timely completion of tasks.
