Client Advisor - Wealth and Investment Management

SunTrust is currently seeking a Wealthy Client Advisor for our Wealth and Investment Management team in Atlanta, Georgia. The core function of this role is to manage a portfolio of 150-250 wealthy clients. Proactively profile assigned clients to uncover all financial needs using the STI consultative sales process, identify all appropriate financial solutions, and introduce STI specialists to the client in order to deepen client relationships.  Utilize and position the comprehensive suite of Wealth Management products with particular focus on Credit, Deposits, Investments, Life Insurance, and Estate Planning. Develop a client relationship plan for all clients as outlined in the defined service standards and ensure that service standards for all client relationships are established and met.  Maintain updated relationship history to support ongoing relationship expansion activities.  Coordinate relationships with other STI product specialists, including investments, trust, mortgage, insurance, etc, using a team approach to deliver solutions to meet client financial needs and to increase wallet share with assigned clients. Minimum Requirements: § Bachelor's degree with 5-7+ years of Relationship Management experience in a Wealth and/or Private Banking environment§ Proven ability to manage a Client Portfolio containing Loans/Deposits greater than $30MM and/or Assets Under Management greater than $30MM  § Solid Investment Knowledge and the ability to deliver client performance numbers on accounts in addition to basic Financial Planning via Financial Profiles Forecaster software.  § Solid Credit Knowledge in order to personally deliver standard/complex consumer credit solutions.  § Very Strong to Excellent Deposit/General Banking knowledge so as to personally deliver standard bank products such as deposits, credit cards, mortgages, etc. § Excellent Sales and New Client Acquisition skills with the ability to sell a wide range of products and services § Excellent Client Management/Client Service skills§ Assertive in asking for business, developing leads and developing referral sources which includes Centers of Influence§ Excellent oral, written and presentation skills§ Well organized and flexible; able to adapt to change as well as determine and focus on top priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing priorities§ Strong knowledge of all Wealth products and services Preferred Requirements: § Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business major preferred. § 5+ years experience working with this client segment as a Client Advisor. § Hold NASD 7, 65/66 securities licenses and Georgia Insurance licenses (LAS and VP). § Solid knowledge of STI Credit policy.  § CFP or equivalent is highly desirable.
