•Location:    Irving, TX•Job Status:    Part Time, Employee•Job Category:    Administrative/ClericalCapital One Bank Now Hiring Part Time Special Account ClerksJOB FUNCTION:Responsible for the processing and distribution of over 300,000 DDA statements, over 2,000 special statements, over 9,000 Will Call Statements, over 200 Serial Sort Statements and over 5,000 extra items on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, for Hibernia National Bank.  REGULAR DUTIES:·  Ensure all DDA exceptions are processed in a timely manner. Â·  Ensure that all extra items are cycled and falconed off in a timely manner.. Â·  Ensure that all new accounts that are to be Specials, or Will Calls are set up accordingly. Â·  Ensure filing system is properly done on a daily basis for rendering special accounts and will call statements. Â·  Ensure maintenance on special accounts and will call accounts are done in a timely manner. Â·  Ensure all will call accounts are set up properly and mail codes are correct for those that are mailed interoffice. Â·  Ensure that when rendering all statements that the correct amount of checks are enclosed and the right statement insert, if any, is also enclosed with the proper statement. Â·  Preparation of statistics for all statements, exceptions, etc. are processed for special statements, will call and regular DDA statements. Â·  Ensure all documentation is logged and filed accordingly. Â·  Research and correct all exceptions promptly and mail to customers. Â·  Research and respond to all telephone inquiries on special statements, will call, exceptions and returned statements. Â·  All other duties as assigned by supervisor. MONTHLY DUTIES:·  Ensure that all special statements, and will calls are rendered according to the original instructions. Â·  Ensure all maintenance is done in a timely manner every month end for special statements and will calls. Â·  Ensure the proper filing of checks for all special statements. Â·  Prepare monthly recap of all special account and will call accounts processed by business day. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school education or GED PREFFERED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:·   High school education plus-·   1-2 year Bookkeeper experience·   1-2 year experience in DDA Services  REQUIRED SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:·  Thorough understanding of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.·  Understanding of PC/CRT applications.·  Accounting Principles·  Knowledge of Bookkeeper, Proof /Transit, and adjustments operations·  General Banking knowledge  REQUIRED SKILLS:  Good organizational skills.  Ability to effectively manage time.  Independent and self motivated.  Detail Oriented.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Excellent customer service skills.  Good analytical skills.  Problem solving ability.  ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.  Ability to operate a keyboard if required to perform the essential job functions.  Ability to read and interpret a document.  Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an “undue hardshipâ€� then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement. To apply, visit our website at http://www.capitalonebank.com/careersSearch for requisition ID 602723 _________________________________________________ We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
