MANDATE
This role is accountable to implement a student/campus recruitment strategy for Capital Markets (US). This strategy will align with BMO’s employment brand and will build upon BMO’s reputation as Employer of Choice
This role ensures that consistent, high quality recruiting practices are used, and reflect positively on BMO’s competitive position in marketplace for top talent at the campus and student level. The role will enable the attraction of diverse talent into the organization and develop multiple talent pipelines for BMO lines of business through co-ops, internships, direct hires, career programs, job readiness training programs, etc.
This role will also champion relations with external organizations (e.g. Universities, Colleges, Career Edge etc...) through presentations, focus group meetings, and special events in order to build deep and lasting relationships that are a key pipeline for key strategic intake roles for BMO.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
A. Capital Markets (US) Campus/Student Strategic Framework Implementation
• Work with Sr. Campus Recruitment Partner to implement a best-in-class campus recruiting strategy and program(s) to support the BMO Capital Markets (US) human capital requirements and growth strategies
• Understand business requirements and intake specifications and ensure that all student/campus US CM programs are aligned to the needs of the business and delivering the expected outcomes
• Ensure that our Employment Brand and Employee Value proposition is appropriately positioned within the context of all campus/student R&I programs. Ensure that diversity is embedded into all our programs
• Monitor industry strategies, and develop innovative ideas and initiatives to distinguish BMO from competition.
B. Capital Markets (US) Campus/Student Organization Relationship Management
• Relationship management for key institutions and foster and develop strong business relationships
• Drive business development in order to promote and expand the campus profile internally and on campus
• Liaise with campus career centres in order to determine needs and ensure BMO presence
C. Capital Markets (US) Campus/Student R&I Programs and Operations
• In coordination with Senior Recruitment Partner execute campus/student recruitment activities – develop and maintain various campus recruiting initiatives including participation in career fairs and facilitation of relationships with campus career centers to build pipeline for potential hires
• Implement reporting and monitoring mechanisms that track the progress and overall effectiveness of CM (US) Campus/Student R&I programs
• Maintain the reputation and attractiveness of programs through relevant promotional activities (both internal and external) - this requires a thorough understanding of the competitive marketplace, competitive positioning and knowledge of business requirements
• Act as a subject matter expert for campus recruitment best practices, maintaining quality benchmarks, processes and standards for recruiting across Canada and US
• Maintain knowledge and subject matter expertise of relevant industry and segment trends and recommend program revisions as appropriate
• Liaise with relevant HR Business Partners, Talent Management & Diversity colleagues, HR SST colleagues, the BMO Capital Markets learning team, and Hewittt designated recruiters

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
This role requires the incumbent to interact with the following groups:
- CM executives, senior management and professionals
- HR Leadership Team
- All R&I groups
- SSTs and HR Business Partners
- Functions within Banking & Operating groups to assess process and information needs and improvement opportunities
- Business group partners (i.e. who are running programs where there might be overlap or opportunities to collaborate)
- External contacts (i.e. educational/professional institutions, community organizations, etc.)
SCOPE AND IMPACT
This role has direct or indirect impact on the following:
- Impact on external reputation with educational/professional institutions and potential new hires
- Impact on quality of candidate experience and company’s reputation as Employer of Choice
- Impact on delivery of key initiatives designed to improve the quality of new hires and speed to productivity
KNOWLEDGE:
- Broad knowledge of BMOFG’s business strategy and priorities, lines of business and their unique talent needs, products and services, and key partners
- Solid understanding of the organization’s recruitment policies, process and standards
- 3-5 years direct experience with capital markets campus recruiting; preferably in a competitive market place
- In depth knowledge of investment and corporate banking business, products and technical skills, including credit, debt, equity, M&A products, financial analysis, accounting etc.
- Undergraduate business degree or MBA (MBA preferred but not required)
