The Group is active in the wholesale markets in interest rates, credit, commodities, foreign exchange and equity derivatives. We  provide specialist intermediary broking services to trading professionals in the wholesale financial markets.

 

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

In 2006 Campus Recruitment and Training Programs were created to attract high achievers for the future within our Voice Broking; Electronic Broking and Accounting Divisions. The initiative is an extremely high profile activity within the firm and is an essential aspect of the firm's operation. The on-campus group is responsible for providing an effective recruitment and development service that supports the Company’s business plan and facilitates the attraction, selection, training, development and retention of high caliber, well-motivated undergraduates and interns.

 

THE PERSON

You will have previous campus recruiting experience with exposure to medium scale recruitment campaigns preferably within financial services or in a professional, fast moving environment. You will be highly knowledgeable of campus recruitment procedures and competency based interviewing techniques. In house experience of program delivery & talent management is also preferred.

 

Alongside the technical competencies, it is genuinely the ability for this person to understand the culture of the business that will deliver demonstrable success in this role. We work in a dynamic and challenging environment with a very demanding client group so you will need to be able to be a credible, knowledge individual who knows when to influence, persuade and push back when necessary. You will be a great relationship builder both with external organizations and critically with the senior business interfaces where you will have the ability to quickly gain their confidence.

 

You should be enthusiastic, motivated and driven, with excellent presentation and facilitation skills. You will act as an internal and external marketeer, who is able to liaise and communicate at all levels within the business to define their needs and be able to assist in the overall business recruitment attraction strategy. Supervisory exposure would also be helpful.

 

Successful applicants will have the ability to work independently, structure work and bring new ideas to fruition. You will need to have a strong client focus and be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a global team of 7. You will need to be able to work under pressure and deal with multiple tasks.

 

THE ROLE

This will be a broad based and challenging position looking at both the operational and strategic side of our Campus Recruitment and Development Programs. You will work closely with the GH in raising the profile of the program internally and be proactive in delivering the message/ethos behind the drive to recruit young talent into the firm, ensuring buy in and commitment from the business. Duties include but are not limited to:-

 

-  Assist in producing marketing materials which are innovative and reflect the company’s brand and appeal to our target audience

-  Manage our campus recruitment effort in hiring undergraduate and summer interns within N.America

-  Develop target school strategy and strengthen the firms on-campus brand presence at these schools

-  Develop strong links with universities through relationships with Careers Services
Plan and deliver recruitment/sell events

-  Manage alumni teams/line participation for these events

-  Evaluate the effectiveness of our presence at the target Universities and revise the strategy as appropriate

-  Liaise with GH and divisions to establish specific hiring numbers and role requirements

-  Pipeline management and manage outsourced screening of applications

-  Assist in the design and development of selection tools to identify top talent

-  Manage and participate in the assessment & selection process of candidates

-  Ensure successful candidates are brought into the business smoothly and efficiently

 

-  Manage and assist in the development of the summer internship program and spring program

-  Manage and assist in the development of the full-time global training program

-  Manage and assist in the development of the post training development program including trainee mentor allocation and briefing; management of the appraisal process

 

-  Build internal relationships to ensure full engagement across the business

-  Communicate with all internal/external stakeholders ensuring everyone is kept fully briefed

-  Assist the GH to set strategy and direction to ensure a highly efficient and effective process

-  Keep abreast of recruitment activity in the marketplace through attendance at relevant campus recruitment briefings

-  Collate and analyze undergraduate data producing quarterly management information reports to the GH and business as required

-  Monitor the campus recruitment expenditure and provide a monthly update to the GH on the budget.
