CFO - Banking

Bank Holding Company seeking a CFO for its executive team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Chief Financial Officer reports directly to the Chairman and ChiefExecutive Officer of Bank Holding Company. The CFO will plan, direct, andcontrol all financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, audit and tax functions,internal controls, treasury, risk management and cash management of thefinancial institution and its affiliates within the Corporation’s Mission andGoals. The position will oversee the growth and development of the Companythrough potential acquisitions while managing the expansion of its real estate,investment, and insurance activities, develop and manage a Strategic BusinessPlan for the Organization, and maximize the Corporation’s overall financialefficiencies.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Direct the recording of the Organization’s financial transactions inaccordance with GAAP, regulatory guidelines, and policiesestablished by the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors.

· Organize the study and establishment of new and enhanced management andfiscal controls, methods, procedures, and documentation to ensure accurate andtimely financial, regulatory, and compliance reporting consistent with industrybest practices.

· Lead the formulation, recommendation and implementation of theCorporation’s financial strategies to improve overall operational effectivenessand performance.

· Enhance the influence of the finance group by providing timely and accurateanalysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends in order to assistthe Executive Management Team, Chairman - CEO, and the Board in fulfilling theOrganization’s Mission and Goals.

· Develop, participate, and implement the Corporation’s strategic plans andprograms as a partner to the Organization.

· Make recommendations relating to budget preparation, profit forecasts, cashflow objectives, and operational procedures. This includes the follow up ofcomparing monthly costs to budget and explaining any variances. . .

· Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction ofnew programs/strategies and regulatory actions.

· Present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the Board of Directorsand senior management.

· Contribute to the optimum handling of bank and deposit relationships.

· Implement appropriate strategies to improve cash management andprofitability measurements including the enhancements to the fund transferpricing system to support full organizational profitability.

· Designs and coordinates a wide variety of accounting and statistical dataand reports.

· Keep abreast of regulatory changes and new legislation to ensure fullcompliance.

· Identify and negotiate mergers and acquisitions.

· Serve as the Chairperson of the Corporations Asset Liability ManagementCommittee (ALCO), whose primary objective is to maximize earnings within anacceptable levels of risk, while maintaining adequate liquidity.

· Work special projects as needed and directed by the Chairman,President/CEO, regulators and auditors.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

· Proven leader and financial executive with a minimum of five yearsexperience as either a Chief Financial Officer or senior financial officer in amulti-branch Community Bank or Bank Holding Company ($4OO MM - $l Billion).

· Minimum of Bachelors degree from a top tier university (Master’s preferred)and CPA.
