  Job Title:  CD/IRA SpecialistDepartment:  Deposit OperationsLocation:  Flint

   

Description of Position: Perform inquiry and maintenance functions to maintain the integrity of the Deposit and Retirement Systems within banking laws and regulations.  Update and maintain information for the Deposit, IRS Government Reporting, and Retirement Systems.  Handle client or bank personnel inquiries regarding a variety of issues concerning these systems, including complex research and problem resolution. Independently resolve unusual or complex issues for internal and external clients by performing research and analysis to mitigate risk to the bank. Assist in all phases of testing and implementation of new products or services and system changes; recommending procedural and/or processing enhancements to include implementation of training plans. Maintain a proficient knowledge of a variety of systems related to the Deposit Operation functions to include banking laws and regulations. Updating and verifying interest rates on Bank Control in order to mitigate risk or impact to the bank and/or client. Update and maintain a variety of monetary and non-monetary changes within established guidelines and application systems to include creation and distribution of exception reports. Act as a technical expert and resource for internal and external clients with regard to Deposit Operations in order to ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations and bank policy.
