Business Analyst II

Security Service Federal Credit Union is seeking a Business Analyst II to support development of various technology business systems.

 

The Business Analyst provides the critical bridge between "users" and technical staff, identifying true business needs and assessing the available technologies to meet those needs.  Mobilizes information technology and business units to recommend & implement solutions based on analysis of the business processes and available technology.  Works on business problems, analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures and making recommendations/decisions on improvements.  Works closely with end-users to develop a detailed understanding of user Information and technology needs and define requirements for new or improved systems.  Confers with technical or functional experts at all levels to obtain requirements and develop solution proposals.  Perform other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

·  Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or Business-related field or comparable education and/or experience.

 

·  Seven years experience in a financial institution environment or comparable experience.

 

·  Experience as a Business Analyst performing the following activities:  (a.) Requirements gathering, (b.) Use Case generation and documentation, and (c.) Generation and documentation of both Functional and Technical Design Documents for use by self and other programming staff.

 

·  Consulting experience in the following financial specialties:  (a.) Consumer/Retail banking products, (b.) Card processing (ATM/Debit/Credit/EFT), and (c.) Familiarity with ISO 8583, card management, card production (embossing, money movement, funds settlement).

 

·  Superb interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

 

·  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to pay close attention to details.

 

·  Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs.
