Branch Sales Manager
Job Description: The Branch Sales Manager directs and manages the sales activities of the branch, ensuring that efficient customer service is provided and quality loans are generated. A Branch Sales Manager with Wells Fargo receives a base salary, commission on their own production, monthly volume override on the production of direct reports, and a quarterly NOI bonus. This person is responsible for recruiting, managing, coaching, and motivating a staff of outside loan officers to meet sales production goals, to assure compliance with WFHM standards, regulations, and policies and typically manages 5-12 sales direct reports. This position requires strong sales and marketing skills, excellent communication skills and detailed follow-through. The Branch Sales Manager is expected to identify partnership opportunities and to develop strong business relationships. Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications: Job experience:• 3+ years of external/outside retail mortgage origination experience with an emphasis on self sourced business • Proven track record of 2+ years of hiring, motivating, and/or managing a sales force in the mortgage industry; and/or demonstrated ability to hire, motivate and manage sales staff• Proven sales experience with the ability to meet WF production standards set for a Branch Sales Manager• Ability to direct the work of mortgage loan officers. (Including; setting and monitoring of goals, implementing policies and procedures, and managing price protection)• Established and documented referral partner relationships in the market in which they are applying (e.g., realtors, builders, attorneys, financial advisors or CPAs)• Proven ability to analyze and review General Ledger and Profit and Loss Statements• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with builders, realtors and various affinity referral partners.• Ability to direct the work of mortgage loan officers, including setting and monitoring of goals, implementing policies and procedures, and managing price protection; may direct the work of operations staff in satellite officeSkills/Competencies:• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to customers and business partners• Demonstrated PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use database marketing• Demonstrated customer service skills• Demonstrated knowledge of the mortgage industry and loan structuring• Demonstrated leadership characteristics, organizational skills and experience working in an automated origination environment.• Demonstrated ability to develop a business plan and grow market share• Demonstrated ability to hire, motivate, coach, and manage sales staffPhysical requirements:• Ability to move 15+ pounds• Ability operate moving vehicle or have access to transportation• Ability to stand/sit/walk for 6-8 hours a dayEducation:• High School Education or equivalent Preferred Skills: • 3+ years of retail mortgage sales management experience • Demonstrated success leading a fully commissioned, outside sales organization• Complete familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC, FHA/VA guidelines and understanding of all facets involved in real estate transactions. • Strong ability to build relationships—both internally and externally. • Desire to assist others in reaching their career goals. • Leadership characteristics to motivate and direct a team of mortgage professionals. • Desire to grow your career in a fast paced environment.• Specific local market experience/knowledge a plus• Niche market experience in any of the following specialties is considered an asset: builder-focused lending; renovation, jumbo or reverse mortgages and/or experience with down payment assistance and bond program lending and/or CRA lending, lower to moderate income borrowers, and/or working with first time homebuyers; and/or working with ethnically diverse consumer segments• Niche market experience serving bilingual clients• BA Business degree or related experience How to Express Interest in This Job: Wells Fargo invites you to apply for this job at https://employment.wellsfargo.com/psp/PSEA/APPLICANT_NW/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM.HRS_CE.GBL?Page=HRS_CE_HM_PRE&Action=A&SiteID=1&Opening=3243092 We do not acknowledge the Online Application.WELLS FARGO IS AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER M/F/D/V.
