Bank Supervisor
Supervises the teller staff according to established policies and procedures to insure that customers are served promptly and efficiently. This position will require problem solving, answering questions while exercising discretion and independent judgment, keeping the security of the bank in mind.
1. Responsible for staff scheduling to meet customer flow, yet meet scorecard goals for allotted hours; this may include taking a cash drawer to avoid long customer lines. 2. Assists tellers with error corrections, balancing problems, check confirmation, and additional training when needed. Oversees that the tellers are supplied with cash and supplies to insure the customers are handled promptly and efficiently. Assists tellers with difficult customers or unusual requests. 3 Motivates and trains tellers by example to cross-sell our products using sales aids effectively in order to meet scorecard incentive goals. 4. Maintains vault cash, verifies, and forwards daily branch work correctly and completes the monthly audits. 5. Must possess and develop leadership skills. Acts as leader of the Bank in absence of Manager. Enforces policies and procedures keeping security of bank in mind, such as making sure the tellers follow the Thumbprint procedure, getting proper ID when needed, etc..
This position requires excellent communication skills with customers, co-workers, management, and other bank locations by maintaining a professional, positive, and courteous demeanor. Must demonstrate knowledge of the industry in terms of laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act relative to his/her job responsibilities.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Three years retail banking experience and previous supervisory experience in a retail banking environment required.
