For more information, please visit www.prudential.com The Associate Manager, Accounting will be a member of a team of 3 associates within the Portfolio Reporting Support Unit of the Investment Reporting Division. The Associate Manager will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of various portfolio management reports for the Asset Liability Management (ALM). The Associate Manager may be the primary reviewer or backup preparer of various portfolio management reports for ALM. The Associate Manager will also be responsible for supporting ALM on ad hoc requests, projects under the guidance of the ALM Business Analysis Unit, and enterprise and departmental initiatives. Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to: * Management Review of the Privates & Mortgages Commitment Activity Reports. * Management Review of the Public Fixed Income Acquisitions and Sales Activity Reports. * Management Review of various monthly and quarterly portfolio management reports such as the Asset Value Cashout Report, Group Asset & Liability Cash Flow Report, Floating Rate Reset Report, Watchlist Report * Oversee the maintenance and efficiency enhancement for all of the above reports. * Assist with ad hoc requests, particularly the complex ones. Work with Clients to generate solutions to business issues * Leading or participating in projects. * Leading or participating in enterprise and departmental initiatives. Qualifications *Degree in business/Finance (or equivalent work experience). *6 - 8 years of experience *Solid knowledge of PIM (Prudential Investment Management), PIM O&S and Prudential Financial is a plus *Strong knowledge of investments (all asset classes; various valuation, analytics and risk characteristics such as effective duration, yield to maturity, foreign country and currency exposure, credit and industry sector exposure, portfolio cash flows, weighted average life, credit quality spreads ) and financial markets is desired. *Strong knowledge of Oracle, all of the financial reporting tools, GAAP and Statutory Accounting is desired. *Strong attention to detail *Strong Leadership Skills required. *Strong PC skills especially in Excel and Access. *Strong written, oral and analytical skills required. *Demonstrates strong initiative and interpersonal skills. *Good Time Management. *Knowledge of Cognos or other ad hoc reporting software preferred *Strong organizational and problem solving skills Comments: Overtime may be required during peak periods.
