Assistant Client Services Manager

 

Position Summary:

 

Under minimal supervision, but following established policies and procedures performs a broad-range of operational management functions to include but not limited to: opening and closing branch, assisting with new accounts, processing transactions and selling bank products and services.  Responds to questions and/or provides information upon request from customers (internal and external).  Processes requests/transactions, as appropriate. Assist customers and potential customers in understanding and utilizing bank products and services. Responsible for the daily branch operations.  Responsible for the administration and supervision of branch activities and staff within established policies and guidelines.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Represents the bank to customers, non-customers and guests in person and by telephone in a courteous, professional manner. 

· Provides accurate information to customers regarding bank services, products, policies and procedures.

· Manage retail banking facility and staff in absence of client services branch manager.

· Manager daily operation of branch to include management of client accounts and establishing/implementing office procedures.

· Open client deposit accounts, i.e. preparing necessary documents, setting up internet access, ordering checks, and taking initial deposit.

· Cross-sells bank products and services. 

· Assist in directing all branch operations, which includes planning, recommending, and implementing programs and policies, and providing general administrative direction..

· Assist in management and development of a Client Services unit dedicated to alternative delivery services (i.e., Online banking, courier/overnight services, non-traditional banking services)

· Assist in development of plans, policies and procedures necessary to ensure deposit compliance and adequate return on client relationships.

· Assist in development of staff training and education to ensure quality client service.

· Daily overdrafts.

· Oversee daily balancing of branch cash and bank deposits.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Minimum two (2-4) years' experience in a banking and/or a college degree with one (1) year management experience 

· Must demonstrate strong management, development and operational skills. 

· Excellent math ability and attention to detail.

· PC proficient including Microsoft Office & the Internet.

· Extensive telephone work involved. 

· Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. 

· Ability to promote and sell bank products and services. 

· Ability to direct all functions of a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, fax, copier, telephone, postage machine, etc.
