Accounts Receivable Manager / Collections Manager

Due to growth in this department, we are seeking an Account Receivable Manager / Collections Manager to lead a team of 5 specialists providing a full range of accounts receivable solutions. We are working with more than 150 software companies selling into the Public Sector including DOD, Civilian, and State and Local. Our large clients include IBM, ORACLE, Network Appliance, CISCO, and other leading high-technology manufacturers. We seek someone with Credit and Collections experiece with the Federal Government as thier end-customer.

Job Responsibilities

Management and oversight of a team of collection specialists ensuring the timely collection of payments for all outstanding immixGroup invoices. Manage a centralized credit and collections department. The primary goal of this department is to improve cash flow and increase cash collections. Mentor teammates by sharing and documenting best practices on how to effectively communicate with clients, partners and government payment offices in the pursuit of collecting monies due. Evaluate contracts and contracting and billing processes to ensure maximum ability to collect receivables and improve cash flow. Coordinate and track legal efforts related to collections. Establish criteria for when legal assistance should be initiated and monitor related compliance with procedures. Monitor individual team members performance and effectiveness against established collection targets. Measure individual and team performance against established collection targets to reduce days sales outstanding. Identify and ensure the completion of any necessary actions required of immixGroup sales personnel to help resolve complex or difficult payment issues. Provide monthly reports to senior management summarizing actual vs. target collections efforts for individual and team performance. Develop collections staff consisting of 5 associates. Recruit, hire and train new personnel.

Position RequirementsBS Degree – Accounting or Business Management 5+ Years collections experience, preferably collecting from government including DoD 2-3 Years management experience Strong verbal and written communications skills Team oriented Strong organization skills Proficient in using MS Office, CRM applications and tools
