Account Representative - Sales

Responsible for acquiring new credit and debit card merchant processing accounts for small to medium sized businesses via referrals from corporate partners and prospecting. Account executives are also responsible for maintaining the relationship of existing accounts with the goal of cross selling additional products and obtaining referrals. Identifies potential customers, makes contact, and develops individual strategy for selling merchant service products. Negotiates pricing with customers. Incumbent spends 50% or more of their time traveling to customer sites within the Houston region. Maintains reports and contact log for purposes of tracking sales and trends.Required Skills: Ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3 years proven sales skills and has a network of contacts in place from which referrals are sourced.   Negotiating, pricing, and presentation skills and knowing how to complete a sales process.   Debit or credit card processing sales experience and/or financial services sales experience. Outside sales and phone sales experience is also preferred.
