Overview: Leads  and coordinates activities of employees who are receiving, stocking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining records in warehouse. Trains new employees and is overall responsible for leading and supporting the  warehouse floor operations.  Will coordinate warehouse shipping, receiving, and inventory efforts with other departments in the Company such as Purchasing, Quality, Service Shop, Sales, and Accounting.

Job Purpose (including, but not limited to):

· Lead floor operations; handle questions and problems that arise; order supplies as needed; prioritize and assign work load; quality and quantity control of work.

· Assign work duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise and assembling customer orders for delivery.

· May ship and receive product, assemble parts, invoice, and count stock (inventory).

· Coordinate activities of distribution warehouse with the activities of sales, purchasing, and other departments to ensure availability of merchandise.

· Maintain up-to-date product knowledge of existing inventory. 

· Ensure that Warehouse(s) meets all mandated safety requirements and Company policies and procedures.

· Responsible for setting up and/or securing the warehouse.

· Supports preventative maintenance and safety programs, to include maintenance logs and schedules, procedures for reporting injuries, MSDS Sheets, and OSHA/WISHA compliance procedures.

· Observes and assists internal and external auditors for compliance with safety and security standards.

· Trains, and motivates warehouse staff.

· Ability to understand issues and make systematic and rational judgments based on relevant information.

· Ability to formulate strategies and policies, and create new approaches in adverse situations.

· Expected to enforce safe work practices and adhere to general safety rules to ensure employee and customer safety and high quality of work.

· Capable of lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs; considerable activity required.

 

Education and/or Experience:

· Experience leading a group of employees.

· Strong background in warehouse operations, inventory control and distribution.

· 2 yr. college diploma or certificate from technical school; or at least 2 years related experience; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.

· Full comprehension of all materials and supplies carried by Randy’s Ring & Pinion.

· Experience using Microsoft Office products including Excel, Access and Word.

· Valid Washington State Driver’s License and current forklift certification required.
