MAJOR FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform product and materials testing to specified conformance requirements using a variety of specialized testing equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES
· Conduct or assist with part approvals prior to use in production.
· Prepare testing protocols.
· Program and set-up equipment as required.
· Develop test plans based on customer requirements, specific standards and internal requests.
· Coordinate third-party testing.
· Develop and conduct continuous conformance testing.
· Prepare detailed testing schedules, track adherence to schedules and report significant delays to management.
· Prepare detailed testing results reports.
· Interface with engineering and quality management to determine required testing and methods and communicate test results.
· All other duties as necessary and assigned.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
§ Lithium or other battery testing experience preferred.
§ Knowledge of USBC, ASTM, IEC, ISO and environmental test standards preferred.
§ Familiarity with battery testing protocols required.
§ Project Management: ability to organize and manage multiple products through manufacturing process.
§ Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
§ Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees.
§ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
§ Experience working with high performance teams.
§ Ability to maintain safe work environment.
§ Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution.
§ Must be able to easily adapt to changing situations.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE
§ 3-5 years previous quality engineering experience required.
§ Bachelor’s degree in electrical, chemical or mechanical engineering required.
