Our client, a major Construction, Earthmoving & Mining Equipment manufacturer seeks accomplished Engineers with hands-on product development experience in Automotive, Agricultural or Heavy equipment industry, related to Power train/Transmission development, testing, analysis etc; hands-on experience with transmissions in a Proving grounds environment greatly desired.

 

 



 

Description:

·This is a Testing & Development Engineering position in the Transmission Development team within Power train Research & Development programs.

·Main focus is on partnering with the Transmission design group and OEMs to develop transmissions & controls for machinery (agricultural/construction/earthmoving) applications.

·This person will be working on projects related to defining development plans, specifying and performing Lab component testing, on-vehicle field development, analyzing test data, developing and optimizing transmission hardware and control software, performing field tests and component inspections, documenting results and providing recommendations.

·Additional challenges include developing improved strategies and tools to accelerate Transmission development and reduce warranty costs.

·Work will be performed at Technical Center, Proving Grounds and at customer sites.

 

Requirements:

·BS/MS in Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering or similar field

·Experience in product design, analysis and/or development, along with hands-on knowledge of Powertrain systems or Transmissions and controls.

·Experience in teardown and building of transmissions highly desired.

·Experience with Data acquisition/analysis software and statistical techniques.

·Strong analytical, verbal communication, and technical writing skills, and ability to work in a team environment.

·Ability to operate heavy construction equipment for testing purposes.
