Location: Marshall, MI 49068 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Expected Duration: 2+ to 5 Years Reference Code: 1001139829 TECHNICAL/MECHANICAL ENGINEERCandidate will work closely within a cross functional team to design supercharger systems for OEM applications which meet or exceed customer requirements. Duties include working with designers to create and release drawings, coordination of prototype hardware, coordination of performance and durability testing, frequent interaction with suppliers and the manufacturing facility, problem solving, failure analysis, and writing technical reports and specifications. Bachelor degree in engineering required, BSME preferred. The ideal candidate should possess an interest in designing and validating internal combustion engines and/or components - including engine boosting (supercharging), intercooling, dynamometer testing, and engine performance optimization. Experience with engine simulation programs (WAVE, GT-Power, etc) is preferred. Knowledge of rotating equipment or complex mechanical systems, including castings, bearings, and shaft seals would be beneficial. Good communication skills are necessary for working efficiently in a team environment. An understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing along with the ability to perform tolerance stack-up calculations will be required to perform tasks related to this position. Ability to operate CAD (ProEngineer) preferred.
