Sr Systems Engineer

Provides systems requirements and interpretation consistent with customer needs including vehicle performance issues.
Coordinates with suppliers and product teams to establish a validated lighting product.
Generates applicable product validation/verification test plans.
Establishes project planning for subassmeblies to assure successful execution of programs.
Establishes internal specifications for suppliers.
Recommends cost saving initiatives.
Reviews system designs to ensure product meets customer's expectations and requirements.
Provides direction for incorporating new technologies into customer programs.
Supports marketing efforts to promote new technologies and acquire new business.
Conducts technology research and canvas market for next generation products.
Provides system expertise and drive technology benchmarking process.
Conducts project reviews with supplier and customer on a regular basis.
Establishes supplier performance metrics.
Facilitates regular Technical Reviews to ensure supplier is meeting company's cost and performance requirements.
Provides regular technology updates to Program Managers and Feasibility teams.
Establishes internal tracking system to monitor performance of early samples that are requested from customers.
Conducts Technology Workshops at both parent companies to monitor the execution of existing programs and next generation technologies.
Defines requirements for an internal generic component specification.
Defines and implements ECU/BCM diagnostics.
Defines and aids supplier to implement Built-In Self-Test.
Defines and aids supplier to implement Functional Testers.
Works with process engineers to specify and field aim stations.
Designs LED drivers and Lighting Control System modules. 

4 year Electrical Engineering degree

3 years project management experience
Proficiency with C++
3 years SW design experience required, preferably embedded applications
Experience with automotive CAN diagnostics is desired
Some HW design (schematic capture) experience preferred
Some experience with optics preferred
Experience in automotive lighting or other OEM products required
International experience a plus
Multilingual a plus
