Description:

Provide software development leadership for programs by leveraging expertise in the areas of image processing, object classification, system modeling and control.

Provide technical leadership in software architectures, algorithms, development processes, and code validation / verification for advanced technology projects.

Create and debug embedded software, hardware, and algorithms for application in new products and in development of specialized software and instrumentation to produce these products.

Function as Senior Research Engineer within the department in the motivation and direction of all department associates.

Interface with Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Microelectronics, Applied Materials, and Manufacturing departments to support the execution of Advanced Technology products into applications.

Participate in Product Launch Teams as required.

Maintain knowledge of company electrical, mechanical, test, and manufacturing practices and engineer consistent with them.

POSITION DEMANDS:

B.S. degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or related discipline.

At least five years experience in software design with ten or more years preferred.

An advanced degree with demonstrated technical leadership experience is preferred.

High proficiency in C / C++ languages and embedded operating systems.

Ability to develop others through support, coaching, delegating and personal leadership.
