Sr. Shows & Events Specialist(Cypress, CA) ACCELERATE YOUR CAREER! PURPOSEAssist Manager with all aspects of MMNA's Promotions Department activities RESPONSIBILITIES1. Assist Department Manager with all Promotions activities such as event activation, research, measurement and reporting. 2. Develop and manage project times for all activities within the Promotions Department.3. Oversee all auto show program pre-planning, execution, lead generation, and Global & Tier I-II detailed execution. Oversee specialist’s execution of Tier III-IV and dealer shows. 4. Assist Department Manager with press event and dealer meeting production. Work directly with the press production company to communicate necessary information and materials required for flawless execution. 5. Consider how all Department activities will impact other marketing initiatives and recommend integration opportunities. Oversee integration process.6. Control all Department budgets; prepare annual budgets and forecasts. Work with Department Specialists to guarantee budgets are accurate and within AMP parameters.7. Perform financial analysis of all shows, events and meetings to improve cost accounting, efficiency, and return on investment. Provide management with pre/post event financial analysis on a regular basis.8. Oversee all vendor activities for exhibit house, talent agency, vehicle detailers, specialty transportation carriers, advertising agency, incentive travel agency, event production companies, and fulfillment provider.9. Work with internal departments to ensure timely and effective implementation, administration and program participation of all shows, events & meetings.10. Prepare analysis and strategy documents to present to Executive Committee.11. Develop creative recommendations and cost proposals for shows, meetings and special events including but not limited to auto shows, press premiers, national dealer meetings, regional dealer meetings, NADA reception, dealer incentive travel, regional marketing support, VIP marketing support, sponsorships & promotions, owner loyalty events, motor sports, strategic alliances, co-branding and cross promotions, consumer ride-and-drives, etc. 12. Assist Department Manager with all assigned projects.13. Other duties as assigned or required. TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PROFILE· Five to seven years as an events and promotions administrator with direct setup experience or five to seven years directly related professional level experience in an events/promotions environment.· BA/BS in Business, Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
