Sr Pricing Analyst - Financial Reporting (7F50)

Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc. (EMD) is a fully integrated locomotive supplier. The company's headquarters, engineering facilities and parts-manufacturing operations are located in LaGrange, Illinois, just west of Chicago. Final assembly is conducted at EMD's state-of-the-art plant at London, Ontario, from which EMD products are exported to customers around the world.EMD is also a global provider of aftermarket parts and services, as well as diesel power engines for marine propulsion, offshore and land based oil well drilling rigs, and stationary power generationSUMMARY Interpret various sales and engineering specifications to calculate complex cost estimates for four different product lines. Estimates may be for new or rebuilt locomotive components. RESPONSIBILITIES • Create highly accurate cost estimates and anticipated profit levels for new product proposals, • Ensure bid proposals are up to date through regular communications with the inquiry group • Prepare and present monthly pricing reports to the Management Committee, • Prepare end product sales forecast and business plan, • Assist in the reconciliation of business plan variances • Reduce costs by working with engineering on design changes that lowered costs and improved machine performance. • Attained an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, purchasing and estimating, • Communicate all commercial non factory costs for developing commercial budgets and forecasts, • Support and assist in new locomotive order analysis, • Work with marketing on revising major component list prices, • Develop a NPV cash flow analysis to be included with each pricing proposal summary. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in business, preferably in Finance or Accounting • 5 years+ of business experience • 3+ years of financial/cost analysis • Strong oral and written communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Access • ERP experience QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred) • SAP experience • Advanced degree or professional certification We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
