Sr. HR Generalist
Job Responsibilities:
This key role will provide strategic and tactical HR support to a 500 employee Global Corporate Staff Function. The person will partner with the VP, Directors and the HRD to implement, develop and communicate HR initiatives across the function. You will be part of TRW’s Corporate Human Resources team located in Livonia, Michigan.
Focus will be on advising the VP and Directors on HR related matters and developing and coordinating implementation of HR programs. These will include: participating in and providing HR input to strategic planning; interacting with regional and local HR support to effect strategy/change and build positive relationships with those HR entities; development and implementation of a high-potential employee assessment, identification, training and development process; coordination and development of a management development and training programs; developing international, cross-training assignments; coordination of employee positive climate process including management review and action planning; coordination of company wide performance management processes and ensuring that all corporate policies and procedures are followed consistently
Qualifications:
• Qualified candidates should have 6 or more years of human resources generalist experience.
• Must be comfortable working in a matrix organization with proven influencing skills.
• Practical knowledge and experience using assessment tools for developmental purposes.
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must possess strong conceptual/analytical skills and the ability to influence.
• Excellent PC skills (Microsoft environment) and HRIS (Peoplesoft) experience.
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Master's preferred. PHR/SPHR preferred.
