Sr. Financial Systems Analyst

Major Duties Include: Technically develop, maintain and support applications for financial reporting, planning and forecasting purposes, utilizing various defined technologies (currently MS SQL server, Hyperion Essbase, MS Visual Basic, MS .Net 2.0) in a client/server and web-based environment. Develop and maintain support programs and processes that automate application administration and enable maximum system up-time. Perform various system and database administration duties. Principal Responsibilities: Design, develop, test and maintain client/server applications based upon MS SQL 2005 and Hyperion Essbase OLAP server. Support the business analysts in troubleshooting applications, providing user support and administering the system. Coordinate issue resolution process with software vendors. Contribute to the team process of assessing on-going user requirements for the Financial Controlling and Sales Planning functions by researching and implementing tools that will provide system solutions. System Administration responsibilities include: Upgrade, configure, performance tune, and optimize the Essbase, and MS-SQL server environment (on Windows 2003 platform) as necessary. Automate application processing using script languages or available tools. Manage migration of applications from development to production environments. Coordinate the client install and upgrade process for user base. Develop and maintain technical system documentation and system administration procedures. Coordinate technical support for servers (i.e., hardware and O/S upgrades). Administer server back-ups. Execute disaster recovery procedures in the event of system crash. Implement and maintain system security. Implement software tools to simplify and speed up the development and system administration processes. Coordinate with IT department to monitor various system loads to proactively recommend software and hardware upgrades. Other duties as required. Minimum Requirements Include: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems/Business Administration/Computer Science. 5+ yrs. developing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server. 2+ yrs. experience in development of financial systems. Development experience using .Net, web technologies, IIS configuration. Working OLAP tools like Essbase/SSAS. Windows 2003 administration experience. Preferred: Masters in Information Systems or Computer administration experience.
