Software Quality Team Leader

JOB TITLE:
Automotive OEM/Tier 1 Software Quality Team Lead
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead a team of Software Quality Engineers in charge of assuring the quality of software deliverables for the Automotive OEM market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Lead, manage and develop a team of capable and dependable Software Quality Engineer
• Plan and organize software quality activities for multiple concurrent programs
• Determine software quality plans based on specific program requirements
• Prepare materials for deliverables readiness reviews, and participate in these reviews
• Identify and implement software quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in the selection and deployment of software quality related tools
• Ensure documentation and dissemination of software quality good practices
• Ensure optimal communication within the organization and to customers
• Participate in recruiting activities as needed
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a 3.0 or better GPA
• 5+ years of experience using C, C++, Embedded Programming, Microsoft and/or Linux experience
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with an automotive supplier
• 2+ years of experience in leading, managing and developing a team
• Solid understanding of the complete software development lifecycle and software quality processes (PPAP, ISO 9001:2000)
• Practical experience with designing test plans and implementing structured software validation strategies
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (expected to be less than 20% of the time)
DESIRED SKILLS:
• MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Experience with GPS and navigation solutions
• Experience with SPICE, CMMI or similar process improvement model
