Software Quality Engineer

GPS Manufacturer/Distributor Participate in software quality assurance activities for Garmin's communication and navigation products in a team-oriented environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Work closely with product development teams to define test plans that will be used to ensure quality and usability of Garmin products Perform testing according to plans to ensure quality and compliance with stated requirements Analyze test results and users' feedback, and communicate with product development teams to assist in problem resolution OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: May serve as product release coordinator May serve as OEM product test coordinator Perform other job-related duties as assigned  EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or sufficient relevant experience Excellent academics (composite GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Superior organizational and analytical skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Relevant experience or training in software quality assurance processes and methodologies Relevant experience or training in creating test plans, conducting usabilities test, and/or writing test scripts is preferred EEO/AA/M/F/D/V Company: Garmin Location: Los Angeles, CA 90001 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Quality Assurance/Safety Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
