GPS Manufacturer/DistributorDevelop software for Garmin Automotive OEM products in a team-oriented environment ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop software in C and C++ for Garmin Automotive OEM products in accordance with Garmin's software development methodology Perform new product software design and development as well as maintenance activities for products already in production Test software using debuggers, emulators, simulators, and/or logic analyzers Perform software releases and software quality assurance activities OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Review product information including manuals and brochures for technical accuracy Participate in product definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs Perform other duties as necessary EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math or Physics from a four-year college or university, or equivalent education/experience Strong academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Detail-oriented individual with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Strong verbal and written communication skills Relevant experience and/or training in C/C++ Relevant experience and/or training in embedded/real-time development Relevant experience and/or training in data structures or object oriented design methodology Relevant education and/or experience in software design, development and maintenance, as required for the successful performance of the essential functions of the position DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5) Previous experience working in a team environment Previous experience with Win CE 5.0, Win CE 6.0 or Windows Automotive Relevant experience in the area of GPS and Navigation, ideally with an Automotive OEM supplier EEO/AA/M/F/D/V Company: Garmin Location: diamond bar, CA 91765 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager)
