Service Technician- Mfg Facility

1.  Repairs small engines, pressure washers, chemical sprayers, log splitters, generators and miscellaneous products.

2.  Repairs defective merchandise in a timely manner.

3.  Provides accurate quotes/estimates of up to $100 for repair work (quotes of $100 or more must be approved by the Product Support Manager).

4.  Supporting the Engineering Department by “Life Testingâ€� Prototypes and monitoring and repairing the equipment as needed.

 

5.  Promotes customer relations and satisfaction by completing jobs on schedule and by displaying a positive and helpful attitude.

· Maintains a high level of service standards.

· Reports all problems involving customer relations to management.

· Ensures complete and timely follow through with all customer contacts.

· Maintains a neat and professional appearance.

 

6.  Prepares all paperwork and reports in a punctual and accurate manner.

7.  Maintains a thorough knowledge of Service methods and procedures.

8.  Improves technical knowledge and skill level, as product requires.

9.  Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.  Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.

10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

11. Keeps supervisor informed of job related problems and concerns related to work activity.

12. Perform all other work as apparent or assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

· High School Education or equivalent.

· 1+ years advanced training/education in small engine repair

· Minimum 1 year experience in small engine repair

· Excellent mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge

· Accurate record keeping

· Computer literacy preferred

· Self motivated and able to function under pressure

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Ability to obtain certifications relevant to small engine repair
