Service Technician

Cummins Bridgeway, LLC proudly represents Cummins Inc. in the states of Michigan, Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.  Cummins Bridgeway, LLC is an expert at harvesting power possibilities with a vast array of equipment manufacturers (OEM’s).  This and other engine businesses make Cummins Bridgeway the world’s largest distributor buyer of Cummins engines.   Cummins  Bridgeway, LLC has an immediate opening for a Service Technician at our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Branch. Job Summary: Performance of trouble shooting and repairs to light/medium/heavy duty vehicle chassis and components to include, but not limited to; main engine (diesel/gas), electrical system, transmission; brake system, exhaust system, hydraulic system, steering, motorhome appliances and structure, within a reasonable and expected time frame. Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   Education:· High School diploma or equivalent required.· Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. Skills/Abilities and Experience:· A technical background, including diesel engines is preferred.· Knowledge and experience with Cummins engines.· Highly skilled in diagnosing, troubleshooting, testing, checking, repairing and rebuilding these engines within Cummins standard repair time.· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.· Self motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision.· Must be able to operate all shop machine tools and testing equipment.· State Heavy certification(s).· Fleet experience required.· RV experience required.  · CDL required.· Previous experience in troubleshooting/repairing 12/24volt systems.· Previous experience and certifications for chassis repairs.· Complete set of tools. · Must have knowledge of recreational vehicle components including appliances, refrigerators, air conditioning, furnaces and related components.
