Service Foreman - Nights - Omaha

SUMMARYOversees and coordinates all technicians work schedule in the service department. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES·  Promote and endorse all aspects of Cummins Central Power’s Safety Policies and Procedures.·  Endorse and actively support Cummins Central Power’s Customer Support Improvement (CSI) efforts.·  Coordinates the technician work force to ensure timeliness of repairs and quality of services performed meets specifications and customer’s expectations. ·  Assist with customer quotes and keep customers informed of their repair progress and the repair completion time. ·  Supervise and assist technicians in all phases of Cummins troubleshooting and repairs. ·  Read and complete work orders in a timely manner.·  Assign housekeeping and other non-billable duties to technicians when time is available. ·  Assign work and jobs to others and maintain a supervisor employee relationship·  Ability to evaluate employees that are being supervised semi annually ·  Attend new product training class as available to keep current with products and to maintain the expert knowledge a distributorship must have. Required to lift 95 pounds from floor height to waist height for a single repetition.  Required to push a weighted sled with a force of 100 pounds for a distance of 10 feet. Required to pull a weighted sled with a pulling force of 100 pounds for a distance of 10 feet.  ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES ·  Maintain all service department vehicles, tooling and equipment. ·  Document all troubleshooting and repair procedures on every repair. ·  Keep the service manager informed of all service department activities.   KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS ·  High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or four to ten years related experience and/or training in a related field.·  Supervisory and/or managerial experience preferred.·  Basic computer skills.·  Ability to communicate and work well with other employees and customers.·  Excellent in person, phone and Email communication skills ·  Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. ·  Current CDL driver’s license preferredWORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions normal for a service environment. Will be subject to diesel exhaust fumes.
