SUMMARY:
The Senior Merchandiser will be a key player in establishing new products within our extensive parts and accessory online catalog and will maximize and be responsible for performance for all products. The Senior Merchandiser will manage relationships with new and existing vendors and will have the expertise to identify industry trends and the merchandising plan. This individual will monitor product performance and make necessary changes to under-performing products as well as ensure top-performing products are maximized. This role will have heavy interaction with the executive team and must be able to communicate accordingly. Forecasting and P&L responsibilities will be a key aspect of the job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· P & L Responsibility
· Develop, Coach, and mentor 3-7 direct reports
· Ultimate responsibility for department of 25 - 50
· Identify Industry trends for vendor and product selection
· Manage all aspects of current product selection
· Maximize product performance
· Interface, manage and negotiate with vendors
· Work alongside Data Manager, Content Manager and Web Analyst
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be team oriented and self motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong Automotive experience is a must.
· Heavy experience with business and merchandising strategy
· P&L Experience
· Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
· Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
· Good time management skills and able to shift priorities
· Able to work in a faced paced environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (INCLUDING CERTIFICATIONS):
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or related field of study
· 3-5 yrs experience
