Senior Director - Operations CompliancePosition Profile: To support the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. business units by proactively identifying, mitigating, and monitoring compliance risks. Total locations to include approximately 1,000 stores, clubs, DC¿s and Regional or Home Office buildings. Responsible for accurately reporting the level of compliance to assigned executive level decision-makers at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. U.S. facilities, developing and executing strategy for the operations Compliance division, supervising and supporting the Regional Compliance Directors, supporting the operating groups in achieving increased levels of compliance, and coordinating regulatory outreach. Requirements: 1. Bachelors Degree (or equivalent compliance experience) 2. 8 - 10 years management/leadership experience. 3. Demonstrated ability to lead a team from a distance 4. Strategic thinker¿able to contribute to overall compliance vision of the company. 5. Able to translate broad vision into actionable plans 6. Demonstrated project management skills 7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 8. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively address large audiences. 9. Above-average computer skills, with proficient use of business applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with limited use of Visio and Access. Must know or have the ability to learn Remedy and company proprietary software. 10. Excellent time management skills. 11. Knowledge or ability to learn quickly company policies, procedures and culture. 12. Must have the ability to make sound, independent decisions on a daily basis regarding the state of compliance and the appropriate method to communicate and act to resolve any compliance exception. 13. Must have the ability to work well independently as well as in groups. 14. Must be able to travel overnight extensively. 15. Must be based in the Divisional Office.Additional Preferred Requirements: 1. MBA, JD, or post graduate education 2.
