Position Description and Objectives

 

The role of the Quality Assurance Systems Engineer is to capture the processes and procedures that control all activities within the organization.The QA Systems Engineer is part of the team who are required to create and maintain a published Quality Management System and monitor adherence of the organization to its published systems. The role includes maintaining the current system and where appropriate, advising the business on changes that are required to reflect current operating practice. The implementation and the institutionalization of new processes, tools and techniques will also be an important part of this role.

 

Role and Objectives

 

The objectives for this position will include but will not be limited too: Enforcing QA compliance objectives and helping to ensure that targets are achieved. Defining standards and establishing clearly defined quality procedures for the organization to apply. Facilitating and formalizing specific processes to be used by the organization. Institutionalizing all new processes and highlighting updates to those procedures, which have been revised. Maintenance of the Business Operating System, through regular reviews and auditing of process effectiveness. Creation and maintenance of an effective communication system for all procedures, standards and quality objectives within the Organization. Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff; Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation; Collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters; Persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods;

The successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently.  The ability to establish and maintain a professional multinational working relationship with external and internal teams at all levels across the company, is required.

 

Qualifications:

At least 5 years of quality systems experience.  Automovtive would be fantastic.  Experienced in ISO9000, APQP, required.  ISO/TS16949 would be fantastic.   Applicants must possess strong written and verbal English communication skills across all levels of the organization.  Certified Six Sigma training would be beneficial. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies is essential.

Process mapping skills and strong facilitation ability is required.

International travel required.
