DEPARTMENT:  QUALITY

 

JOB SUMMARY:  To administer the testing of Hunter Engineering Company software, hardware and other equipment on vehicles that apply to the equipment sold.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL REQUIRED:



High school diploma or equivalent.

 



QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



Must have an in-depth understanding of alignment, brakes, wheel / tire balancing, and wheel / tire removal / installation, as it relates to service equipment.

Applicants must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the automotive service field. 

An Associate’s degree in the automotive field, or equivalent experience, is preferred.

Must have strong technical and computer skills.

Good communication and organizational skills are also required.

 



PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Make detail-oriented observation of alignment software operation as it relates to sensor hardware.

 

2. Determine the tools and kits that are required to align all angles of the vehicle, including tools that are associated with special kits from other equipment manufactures.

 

3. Make detail-oriented observation of software operation as it relates to balancing equipment and the hardware that it associated with it.

 

4.  Verify operation of brake lathes, including proper fit and operation on the vehicle.

 

5.  Verify that wheel adaptors and sensor fit the vehicle and that the sensors are able to measure the vehicle.

 

6.  Make detail-oriented observations of software used in an inspection lane.

 

7. Document detail issues / problems / bugs using bug tracking software.
