This position is responsible for managing and delivering applications for the Power Solutions Division of Johnson Controls, an international company.  The position requires a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse portfolio of requests, quickly mediate between competing priorities, and interact with IT, contractors, and Business management. 
 
This position is extremely collaborative and requires a confident and competent person who leads by example; someone who continually raises the bar on quality, design, attitude, enthusiasm, and accountability.  The position requires a strong self-starter who can deliver consistently at a tactical level. Strong communications and administrative skills are a must. This is considered a leadership position and as such the person chosen must demonstrate the ability to be promoted into positions of greater authority.
 
Typical Duties:
Project Management:
o  Manage multiple systems projects simultaneously.  Prioritize projects and tasks in order to achieve department and company objectives.
o  Prepare project management deliverables including Statements of work, Status reports, Budgets, and Staffing plans.  Ensure adherence to Company standards and methodologies.
o  Manage budget and resources from IT, Business Users, Offshore, and Vendors.
o  Conduct meetings and present to various management levels.  Ensure effective communication through written and verbal methods.
 
Analysis Responsibilities:
o  Ensure customer acceptance by soliciting their input on requirements, design and testing validation.  Design and train users in changes to business processes.
o  Recommend the implementation of technology to support the company's objectives.  Develop strategies, techniques, and standards for systems and interfaces.
o  Work with other team members to prepare Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications, Testing Plans and other documentation as required by JCI's Systems Development Lifecycle.
o  Manage development and provide support for application systems.
 
Team Management:
o  Mentor and manage team members through daily interactive feedback.
o  Perform development planning and performance review exercises.
Requirements:
o  3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
 
Technology Focus (Preferred experience in one of the following):
o  Matrix One version 10.7 or later
o  PLM - Product Lifecycle Management
o  PDM - Product Data Management
 
Education:
o  Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS or comparable field.
o  5-10 years of work experience in IT.
 
Other Requirements:
o  Remain knowledgeable of information technology and company business operations.
o  Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Director, IT Central Systems
o  Occasional overnight travel, including international; and occasional non-traditional work hours.
