DescriptionResponsibilities of Position: Assess, plan and manage the implementation of product enhancements and small product launches for the Modules Group. Drive and direct cross-functional teams (including coordination of the following functions: Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Pricing, Sales (External customer), Materials, Marketing, Customer service and delivery), and coordinate multi-functional activities to meet milestones and deliver programs on plan. Coordinate and prepare required Product Development & Commercialization phase reviews, and deliver presentations to Leadership Team or Modules Group. Accountable for resolution of critical issues during the entire life cycle of the project programs. Ensures program objectives adhere to quality standards regarding appearance and content. Directly responsible to meet customer expected delivery on all of their programs. Assist in many product management activities, designed to achieve long-term productivity and profitability of the Modules business. Interface with customers to determine requirements for a successful new product introduction. Create actionable plans that focus on product positioning, price, and performance to deliver convincing value propositions. Assist in establishing priorities based on customers' needs and critical milestones. Develop cost estimates on projects, which include Supplier / Plant tooling, Assembly Testing and Packaging. Customer-specific price quotations on new work and coordinate the preparation of cost estimates on project continuations. Collect information for proper quotations from other functions as appropriate. Ensure adequate and appropriate resources are assigned to launch project successfully. Manage Engineering Customer Notification Process, Customer Specific Requirements, and Internal Audits per QS-9000. Initiate PARs (Product Appropriation Requests) and report project expenses.Required Skills Demonstrated leadership with strong cross-functional influence/interpersonal skills, drive for success / winning attitude; taking ownership and delivering on objectives / milestones Customer focused; Proven leadership skills Business knowledge of related processes Financial Background (costing, labor, burden, pricing, etc.) a plus Forms relationships at all levels across the business (both internal and external) Experience with ERP and Engineering systems (SAP, Team Center, Microsoft office) Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint Coordination of different departments Commercial Vehicle product and manufacturing knowledge a plus Multi-Tasking and Time management expertise Action oriented / Self motivated / Good communicator Demonstrated proficiency in the use of six sigma tools (DMAIC) for problem solving and solution definition and strong project management skills Strong ability in establishing milestones, project planning and implementation (execution skills) while meeting commitments; able to prioritize, schedule, and plan; anticipate obstacles and manage risksRequired Experience Bachelors Degree - Operational or Technical fields preferred Minimum of 3-5 years cross-functional experience in a manufacturing and / or design engineering environment Mechanical aptitude a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills; capable of formal and informal discussions at all levels of the business, customer, and supplier organizations Has a professional presence; recognizes the importance of networking and a positive working relationship Willingness to learn and share knowledge; values the diversity of ideas
