Programmer Analyst - JDE/SQL/Web
Midwest Express Group is a lead logistics provider offering supply chain optimization for automotive OEM’s and their suppliers. MEG has its North American Operations in the United States and Canada, with affiliate operations around the world. Our services include LLP, transportation, material handling and assembly.
MEG is currently seeking an experienced and innovative individual to fill the position of Programmer Analyst – JDE/SQL/Web at our East Liberty location.
Essential Job Functions:Create detail level design for software development projectsAnalyze program design and develop program requirements to execute the designBuild systems as per the detail design specificationCode, test and debug new or modify existing programs according to specifications and to fulfill production requirementsDevelop test scripts for system testingDevelop & maintain data integration and communication between systemsAccomplish programming work on time and ensure project goals are met as per requirementAssist CRP (Customer Requirement Planning) phase for IT systems projectsAssist system study/design for new projects development and for existing system enhancementWrite program specifications, create system/user documentation and instruction manualsProvide production support and troubleshoot system issuesAssure total quality control management and programming standardsProvide end user testing, training and end to end system integration testingSupport implementation of systems into production environmentPerform all duties in accordance with safety & environment rules and regulationsCreate and deploy JDE, TMW upgrade packagesSupport version upgrades for JDEdwards One World and TMWAssist system maintenance and perform system administrationSupport database back-ups and restore
Requirements:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent IT experienceTotal 5+ years experience of RPG and CL programming languages including 1+ years experience in program analysis and design workExperience in ASP.NET, VB.NET and other web development toolsExperience in MS SQL Server 2000/2005Experience in understanding relational database models, ODBC and developing database queriesExperience in Visual Studio 2003 and 2005Experience in SQL, PL/SQLExperience in Crystal Reports designJDEdwards One World and TMW (transportation management software) experience are preferredKnowledge of Java and Visual BasicExperience in logistics and/or warehouse and/or manufacturing environmentExperience in SDLC methodology for information systemsAbility to work in a highly interactive environmentExcellent analytical and communication skillsStrong organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skillsAbility to learn and apply new technologiesGoal-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced professional environment
