Procurement Manager (Transmissions)

Our engines are changing the way people think about diesel power.   The Procurement Manager will manage all sourcing activities associated with Transmissions and Clutch Products, which are used to manufacture Navistar Trucks, Buses, and Military Vehicles.  The Procurement Manager is responsible for creating and implementing sourcing strategies that provide a competitive advantage that is key to success in this position. The outcome of implementing the sourcing strategies will be a supply base for the commodity set that is world class in the industry in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's Degree; or 6 years of Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, or Finance experience At least 4 years of Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, or Finance experience Additional Requirements: Ability to travel 25% (including international travel). Desired Skills: Strong negotiating experience is preferred. MBA degree is desired. The ability to create strategic and global sourcing plans. Project/Program management experience. Familiarity with commercial Truck, Bus, Diesel Engine products and marketplace. Knowledge of truck and/or engine manufacturing processes. Knowledge of key elements associated with creation / administration of contracts. Ability to analyze product costs and understand underlying cost drivers. Ability to prepare and deliver business presentations to individuals, groups, and senior company leadership. Experience in creating, leading and driving cross-functional teams.
