Procurement Manager (Diesel Engines)

Our engines are changing the way people think about diesel power.   The Procurement Manager will manage all sourcing activities relating to engine, powertrain, and aftertreatment products and components. The Procurement Manager will create and implement sourcing strategies that provide a competitive advantage for the company. The Procurement Manager will develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with high profile suppliers as well as key internal stakeholders.  The candidate will understand the key marketing implication each commodity / product holds.  The outcome of implementing the sourcing strategies will be a supply base for the product / commodity set that is world class in the industry in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree At least 4 years of Supply Management experience Additional Requirements: Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally is required for this position. Desired Skills: Positive Attitude, Ethics, and International Values which support our company's values and a healthy, high performance culture. Engineering or Operations experience. Strong negotiating skills is highly desired. MBA degree preferred. CPM Certification preferred. Project/Program Management experience. Familiarity with Commercial Truck/Bus/Diesel Engine Products and Marketplace. Knowledge of Mfg. Processes (i.e. stamping, casting, molding, etc.). Knowledge of key elements associated with creation / administration of contracts. Ability to analyze product costs and understand underlying cost drivers. Ability to prepare and deliver business presentations to suppliers, internal business units, and senior company leadership. Experience in creating, leading and driving teams.
