Their culture believes in providing high customer satisfaction by supplying products and services that delight customers and offer value.  The working environment promotes values and encourages employee development, diversity, and leadership excellence. ***This is a 6-month CONTRACT-HIRE opportunity!!! The ideal candidate will responsible for the following:  Seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a growing government contractor supporting the National Automotive Center in research and development of automotive technologies for medium-duty trucks.  The successful candidate will work with team members to identify, select and integrate technologies for demonstration vehicles. Conduct research on currently available and future automotive technologies through internet, technical publications, academic institutions, technology conferences, and OEM and aftermarket suppliers. Identify available hardware-level technologies for the purpose of integrating into demonstration vehicles. Assist Lead Engineer in the planning and coordination of validation test activities. Pro-E experience (WildFire Rev 2.0 or higher) with experience in the following:Ø  Solid Modeling and AssemblyØ  Surfacing and Advanced SurfacingØ  DetailingØ  Chassis component designØ  Suspension component design·  Work closely with team mechanic to integrate technologies into demonstration vehicles.REQUIRED SKILLS:·  Mechanical Engineering experience is a Must!·  BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Pro-E software (Wildfire Rev 2.0 or higher) with 4-6 years experience. Chassis and Suspension component design experience/knowledge. Vehicle Packaging experience/knowledge. Vehicle Integration experience/knowledge. Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain a security clearance. Experience in R&D environment.
